Reconnecting through College Reunions

Reunions are an important feature on the Luther calendar each year.

We enjoy welcoming back College alumni for their ten, twenty, thirty, forty and fifty year plus reunions.

In February, the College had the pleasure of hosting its annual Gold and Ruby Reunions, bringing together old scholars from the Classes of 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970 and 1980.

Guests were greeted by current students as they entered our newly enhanced Building W Atrium. Their wonder and surprise at the architecture added to what was already very lively and excited chatter, most of which started in the carpark! The College has come a long way since its founding years, as many realised upon their tour with College Principal Michael Kleidon.

A highlight of the evening was the preparation and service of delicious appetisers and desserts by students in Years 10 – 12. This experience moved them from the classroom into the real world, enabling them to discover first-hand some of the elements of the hospitality industry. Our guests were absolutely delighted with the food and service received.

It was a wonderful evening full of laughter, storytelling and reconnection – something social media can’t compete with.

If you would like to register your details with the College for upcoming reunions please email lcosa@luther.vic.edu.au
