EISM Swimming Carnival – Congratulations

In an excellent night of competition, Luther College students showed great strength and determination at the Eastern Independent Schools Melbourne (EISM) Swimming Championships held at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on Tuesday night, March 2. In a contest that was tight all night, the end result was close, with Huntingtower again taking home the Overall Aggregate trophy, Luther finishing second, just 73 points shy of the top spot.

Our individual performances were strong throughout the evening, with a number of standout performances from; Chantelle Underwood, Isabella Walkenhorst, Tayla Theodore, Johnny Fan, Sam Kernich, Taylah Price, Piper Naismith, Ava Kernich, Sam Churchward and Mia Harrington. A special mention to an outstanding performance by the Open Girls Freestyle Relay consisting of Chantelle Underwood, Isabella Walkenhorst, Tayla Theodore and Jessica Mullarvey who broke the EISM record by an incredible 5 seconds!

At the conclusion of the evening, Luther College took home the Overall Girls Aggregate trophy, and were also Age Group Champions in three categories: Open Girls, U16 Girls and U15 Girls.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this event, and we look forward to another great contest next year.

The Champions of Champions Swimming Carnival will be held on Monday 22 March.
