Our annual Chalk the Walk competition was held mid-March, launched with a special Chapel from our Artist in Residence Phillip Edwards. Phillip is an accomplished painter and sculptor based in beautiful Daylesford. As Artist in Residence, he will be spending time with our Visual Arts Department working with staff and students, mentoring and supporting them in their artistic endeavours.
Chalk the Walk saw students from all year levels gathered at recess and lunch over two days using chalk to express their ideas with a series of drawings and creations around the theme ‘Enjoy the Moment’. There were some outstanding pieces, plus team work and collaboration displayed by all involved. Our music students also joined in with a lunchtime concert making it a very festive occasion.
