Pastoral Care

luther college pastoral care

Our pastoral care program supports students through wellbeing programs, care policies and structures. Students need an educational environment in which they feel safe, supported and appropriately challenged if they are able to learn well and to grow to their potential.

House Coordinators, Home Group Counsellors and Year Level Coordinators work together with all staff to provide a supportive network of care for all students. Thirty-six vertical homegroups, determined based on House structure, operate within the College each with students from Year 7 to Year 12 enriching the sense of connection and belonging for those within the College community. The vertical home groups operate in conjunction with the horizontal care from Year Level Coordinators and teachers providing a rich tartan of care.

This structure provides an effective and efficient pastoral care network for all students at the College.
