Luther College Croydon - Visit from Nanjing Number 12 Middle School in China

Greater care
Greater learning

Visit from Nanjing Number 12 Middle School in China

In July we welcomed 12 students and two teachers from the Nanjing Number 12 Middle School in China. In its third consecutive year, the highly successful program sees students from China experience life at Luther, including home stays with our families.

Our guests commenced their week with a traditional Monday morning Chapel, led by Principal Mr Michael Kleidon, they then went on to experience many different classes and experiences around the College.

To help ease their nerves, our guests were buddied with Year 7 students who did a terrific job of showing them the ropes. A highlight of the trip was a visit to Government House and a special morning tea with Victoria’s Governor the Honourable Linda Dessau AC.

We have been proud of our students for the caring and supportive approach they took and our wonderful Luther College community for making the visit a memorable one.

A number of Year 10 students from Luther will see roles reversed later in the year as they head to China.
