House Performing Arts Festival

The House Performing Arts Festival (PAF) is nearly here, and the students are working hard to ensure that their performances are ready to hit the stage.

PAF is a student-lead showcase of music, dance and drama. Alternating each year with House Drama, PAF is held over two nights in the College Chapel, and is adjudicated by guest professionals in the fields of music and dance/drama. Each House presents a choir, group and feature dance, music soloist, music ensemble, and their overall theme or story is tied together by a small group of actors. Students from each House have written and composed their own 30 minute program based on their chosen theme, and student leaders have independently organised and run rehearsals, fine-tuning their performances over the past 12 weeks.

Whilst the festival is adjudicated and contributes to the overall House competition, the primary focus is on student involvement, engagement and development in the performing arts and the following key aims:
- To encourage student initiative
- To foster and display House and school spirit
- To develop positive relationships between students of all year levels both within and between Houses
- To develop the ability to encourage, support and respect both other students and staff

We are tremendously proud of the way students of all Houses have come together to create their PAF programs, and hope that throughout the process they have enjoyed working together to develop, learn and create!
